The IGP Institute at Kansas State University is a global education center dedicated to advancing technical expertise across the grain, feed, and processing industries. Located within the Grain Science Complex in Manhattan, Kansas, the Institute brings together state-of-the-art facilities—including the Hal Ross Flour Mill, O.H. Kruse Feed Technology Innovation Center, and the International Grains Program Conference Center—to deliver hands-on, industry-driven training. Our mission is to provide technical education that benefits professionals worldwide while enhancing the market preference for U.S. grains, oilseeds, and value-added products. Courses are led by K-State faculty and industry experts and focus on key areas such as flour milling and grain processing, feed manufacturing, grain marketing and risk management, baking, and brewing and fermentation. IGP Institute programs combine lectures, case studies, and laboratory demonstrations with industry tours, offering participants practical, real-world insights. With courses typically ranging from one to two weeks, we welcome hundreds of professionals each year from around the globe. In addition to on-campus offerings, we provide customized training, on-location workshops, and distance education to meet the evolving needs of the industry. Through its comprehensive training programs, the IGP Institute equips business and government leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed decisions and strengthen global grain and oilseed markets.
