The IFA Foundation creates equitable pathways to entrepreneurship, advancing franchising as a powerful engine of opportunity, prosperity, and impact—for everyone. Founded in 1983 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, the IFA Foundation empowers the next generation of franchise owners to pursue the American Dream, going into business for themselves but not by themselves. We do this through a portfolio of programs that build awareness about the expansive opportunities in franchising; provide best-in-class education, mentorship, and resources for aspiring franchise owners; and tell the story about the local impact of franchising, driven by innovative research and franchisee voices from across the world. Together with the International Franchise Association, we ensure that Main Street continues to thrive, creating prosperity and opportunity for people from all walks of life.
