IES Diagnostics, Inc. is a molecular diagnostics company with a proprietary, patent protected assay, developed at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and licensed exclusively to IES by the National Institutes of Health. This new assay, which IES has labelled "REACTIMMUNE," is the first and only test capable of detecting and quantifying the presence and levels of ALL of the unique Interferon alpha subtypes associated with a particular disease. The unique combination of Interferons produced and released by human cells when the body is exposed to an infection or disease is referred to as the "Interferon Expression Signature." Knowing the IFN Signature for a specific disease will allow the medical community to: Develop Interferon based therapies that use the body's immune system to combat specific diseases. Diagnose the specific disease in a specific patient. Monitor the effectiveness of the treatment and adjust the therapy in response to the results of each test. Having a single test that can diagnose a disease in a specific patient, assist in the creation of therapies to combat that disease in that patient and adjust the therapy for the patient throughout the course of the treatment places IES at the forefront of the intersection of the intersection of Companion Diagnostics and Personalized Medicine.
