The aim of the IDunion research project is to create an ecosystem of digital identity credentials based on the eIDAS 2.0 regulation. European digital Identity wallets can be used to store credentials and present them to third parties as required. This is useful for a wide range of use-cases and enables a new way of identity management. This is no longer done by technology companies acting as a central identity manager, but by the citizen himself!
