Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) by Defence Innovation Organisation (DIO), Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, Government of India. iDEX (Innovations for Defence Excellence) is the flagship scheme of Ministry of Defence, Govt of India launched by the Hon’ble PM in 2018. The objective of the scheme is to create an eco-system to foster innovation and technology development in Defence and Aerospace by engaging with startups, individual innovators, MSMEs, incubators, etc. Further, iDEX provides them grants/funding and other support to carry out R&D which has good potential for future adoption for Indian defence and aerospace needs. iDEX has emerged as a game changer in the defence sector and is PM awardee for Innovation.
