Ideaonomy Information

What if the solution to your toughest challenge already exists, in another sector entirely? Ideaonomy is collaborative problem solving infrastructure. We connect people and organisations across sectors so they can solve complex problems together, rather than alone. The biggest breakthroughs happen when knowledge crosses boundaries: when energy meets healthcare, when nature inspires engineering, when a problem solved in aerospace transforms agriculture. But those connections currently happen by serendipity, almost by accident. To scale serendipity, we need a new kind of infrastructure. That's what we've built. Ideaonomy matches problems with people and solutions from other sectors, creating the unexpected human connections where real innovation happens. The corporate engineer who meets the marine biologist. The climate scientist who connects with the gaming developer. The moment someone says: "We solved that exact problem three years ago." Founded by Matt Hastings, who designed and ran what has now become the 10-year, £950m Ofgem Strategic Innovation Fund (currently the largest energy innovation fund in the UK), Ideaonomy exists because Matt saw first-hand how the best solutions come from connecting people who would never normally meet. Follow us for: - Cross-sector innovation stories: real examples of challenges solved by connecting people from different industries - Nature's blueprint: research on biomimicry, regenerative design, and how nature solves the problems businesses struggle with - The joy of unexpected connection: why the most powerful innovation happens when diverse people come together - Ideaonomy updates: platform news, partnerships, events, and founder insights
