The Idaho Real Estate Commission is established pursuant to Idaho Code section 54-2005 to administer and enforce all provisions of the Idaho Real Estate License Law (Title 54, Chapter 20) and with administering the Idaho Subdivided Land Disposition Act (Title 55, Chapter 18). Commissioners are actively licensed real estate brokers with at least 5 years experience in Idaho. They are appointed by the Governor for 4-year terms and represent the northern, southeastern, south central, and southwestern districts of the State of Idaho. The Real Estate Commission is a self-governing agency which operates solely with dedicated funding from licensing revenue. Monies obtained from civil penalty fines may be used only for development and delivery of real estate education to benefit Idaho real estate licensees.
