Iconeme is a technology and design company offering real-world solutions to technical and practical problems. For the fashion retail market, Iconeme has developed the VMBeacon, which aims to bridge the gap between the digital world and the experience of shopping in store. The VMBeacon is technology which enables mannequins and visual merchandising equipment in a shop window, or within an in-store environment, to communicate information to customers via a smartphone app. This is the first time this technology has been designed specifically for visual merchandising and is a leap forward in terms of digital innovation on the high street. The VMBeacon is installed within a store mannequin or display and is then updated with information from the retailer. When a customer with an enabled app is within range of the mannequin, they will receive an automatic alert regarding the content they can access. Founding team: The Iconeme team are entrepreneurs Jonathan Berlin and Adrian Coe, who together have over 50 years’ experience in the retail industry. Jonathan is also Managing Director and Adrian is Creative Director of Universal Display, a leading manufacturer of mannequins and retail display products.
