IceTV provides Australia’s premium Electronic Program Guide (EPG) and smart recording software. The guide is available for a broad range of hardware platforms, such as smart phones, personal video recorders (PVR’s), computers, and peripherals. The smart recording functionality is cloud-based and accessed via smartphones, tablets and web browsers. IceTV markets its products directly to consumers as well as through OEM partnerships with hardware vendors and EPG aggregators. It’s EPG service was launched in 2005 and soon brought Australia’s first remote TV recording features to smart phones. Since then IceTV has become renowned for Australia’s most reliable EPG metadata and powerful smart recording software. In July 2015 IceTV launched a new innovative PVR with automatic advert skipping designed and developed, under the guidance of the company's senior technical staff, in conjunction with a university research group. The device uses innovative digital signal processing software to identify adverts but not effect the recording in any way so as not to breach copyright. In 2023 IceTV launched its own PVR called the "IceBox" based on Intel MiniPCs plus the option of a free download of our software for users who wish to use their own PCs to build their own PVRs. IceTV's sister company YuVU supplies EPG metadata to a wide range of B2B partners both within Australia and overseas.
