Breiðablik football teams are part of the Breiðablik multi-sport club. Both the men's & and women's teams currently play in the Besta deild, the top-tier football league in Iceland. The team is based in Kópavogur, a small town situated a short distance south of the capital of Reykjavík. Breiðablik men's team is the first Icelandic football club to play in the group stage of a major UEFA-organised European competition, more specifically in the current edition of UEFA Europa Conference League.
