IBQ was founded in 1997, by two independent agents who recognized a need for a comparative rater in order to stay competitive in the insurance industry. When national carriers began to use the web to sell direct to the consumer, it was obvious the independent brokers would need to utilize the same online strategies in order to compete. With the addition of these online strategies we were able to leverage the power of the independent broker, with a fully integrated online rater and management system. Since inception, IBQ has flourished as the only true “real time” rater, allowing agents the accuracy and efficiency of quoting their clients. With no investors or stakeholders, IBQ has stayed true to our consumers, listening and making changes to comments, opinions and feedback. IBQ has truly taken the saying “built from the ground up” to heart. We have created and own all of our own patented software. Most other companies have added software through acquisitions, creating a clunky and disorganized interface. Our software was built to work seamlessly with all aspects of the insurance business, ranging from retention to selling to quoting.
