The South Bay Large Employers Committee has been sharing information and technology to assist in getting us back to work. Last week the group worked with us to create a new organization and the Live@25 guidelines. The organization is the California Alliance of the Live Event Industry (CALEI). The new organization's focus will be on restarting the live event industry safely when counties in California enter the yellow tier (Minimal-Risk). As a large group that includes labor, employers, arts groups, industry leaders, corporations, non-profits, and venues, the alliance will be representing hundreds of organizations and half a million live event workers. With a broad alliance, we have a much better chance of having a robust and targeted message. We will be able to work with the state to get our industry restarted. We will need some help with the new alliance. If you have some time and would like to help us out, please register on the website https://calei.org/contact-us If you know of any companies or organizations that would benefit from joining CALEI, please send them the to this URL https://calei.org/ Join the Bay Area effort to elect Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff to the Georgia Senate and secure a major victory for President-Elect Biden. Working families need this majority to secure good appointments to the NLRB and other important appointments that will allow us to organize and fight for economic security and justice. If you/your local would like to volunteer at a different day/time, please contact joe@cclabor.net . When participating in the Georgia phone banks, we will ask that you use google voice and sign up for a Georgia phone number which can be found here. We have also seen that mailing GOTV postcards reminding voters about the runoff have been effective with Georgia voters. If you are able to write postcards to Georgia voters and can put in the mail by Friday, December 18th, please contact joe@cclabor.net . We'll get you everything you need! For more information or to RSVP, please contact Joe ...
