iAppWriters was founded in 2010, the year its first iPhone app--Idaho PlateFinder-appeared in the iOS App Store. That app was followed by six more. The bilingual German PlateFinder was by far the most popular of the seven apps, so it was soon released on Android's Play Store. Because of the proliferation of screen sizes and resolutions (which contributes to testing difficulties), all PlateFinders were removed from app stores in 2019.
