The global mission of the Independent Application Developers Network (IADN) is to ensure that software developers have access to the information, services and support they need to create world-class business applications. IADN was formed in 2005 when a small group of independent software developers began meeting on a weekly basis in order to exchange ideas and engage in peer-to-peer training and support. We also wanted to create a forum that could be a source of constructive feedback for platform vendors. The first meetings were by conference telephone call, and now our meetings are almost always via some form of online video conferencing. IADN has conducted over 600 weekly webinar events for its members and other interested parties. Since 2005, the development landscape has changed dramatically. When we started in 2005, nearly all of the development for the Windows GUI desktop applications. However, today all of our attention is on building web and mobile business applications and solutions, in the fastest, most efficient, and cost-effective way possible. We now provide our members with the training courses and materials, instructional videos, advisory services, technical support, and contract development support they need to succeed with their development activities.
