IAAF Information

The IAAF is the organising body for athletics (track & field & running events). They define and uphold the rules for 47 track & field events with a remit that stretches beyond the stadium into Cross Country, Road Running, and new forms of the sport (Trail Running, Ultra and Mountain Running). The IAAF serves a number of stakeholders: professional athletes, their coaches, and their agents, & the 214 national athletics federations that make up the organisation. They work closely with the local organising committees which stage athletics events all over the world, and of course strive to engage with fans of all ages.
