Second Use salvages old building materials and resells them to the public at a discount. It aims to keep waste out of landfills, protect architectural heritage, and supply affordable building materials to the community. In addition to selling salvaged building materials, Second Use provides salvage services to contractors and homeowners.

Via de website Repaircafe.org (https://repaircafe.org/starten) is een uitgebreid startpakket beschikbaar waarmee iedereen zelf zijn eigen Repair Café kan beginnen. En wat werkt! Wereldwijd zijn intussen duizenden Repair Cafés actief, die gezamenlijk al miljoenen producten hebben gered van de afvalberg of de verbrandingsoven. Daarnaast zet Repair Café International zich - samen met partners in binnen- en buitenland - in voor beter repareerbare voorwerpen, betere regelgeving en zorgvuldiger gebruik van producten door consumenten. Op al deze manieren draagt Repair Café International bij aan de opbouw van een circulaire economie, waarin * producten langer worden (her)gebruikt; * reparatiekennis wordt gewaardeerd en doorgegeven; * minder afval wordt geproduceerd. Dit alles onder het motto: Weggooien? Mooi niet!
