Center for Supportive Communities (CSC) uses behavior science to create equal opportunities and meaningful change for children, families, and communities. Our experts translate evidence-based behavior science into real-world solutions that address complex social challenges—particularly where behavioral health, education, and juvenile justice intersect—advancing prevention-focused, public health strategies. Our work is data-driven, collaborative, and focused on outcomes that matter. CSC partners with schools, courts, government agencies, and community organizations to design and implement individualized, systems-level strategies that strengthen engagement, reduce risk, and promote long-term success. We emphasize early identification, prevention, and tiered intervention while advancing policies that support effective, community-based solutions. At the core of our work is SupportEd, CSC’s flagship, evidence-based program for reducing chronic absenteeism and preventing deeper system involvement. SupportEd integrates behavior science, mentorship, and cross-system collaboration to address root causes of school disengagement, strengthen family engagement, and keep youth connected to school and community.
