Currently, Telco world is moving towards virtualization based on ETSI Telco-Cloud-Reference Model. Virtualization of existing solutions which is bare metal based, touches all aspects of Engineering Processes involving virtualization environment setup (development/testing lab), reengineering, testing, product qualification process, release management, and deployment process. This is a big impact and calls for developing new set of framework and tools that can support the Telco Cloud deployment. Specifically, there is a need to have a framework that can support End-To-End life cycle of NVF Engineering, and deployment in the operators network. Objective of VIRT-NETOPS is to provide such an integrated platform to perform actions related to managing VNFs and network related development, testing, release management, integrating in the operator world with existing IT-infrastructure.
