Launched by Mathieu Gardies in 2015 at COP 21 in Paris, in response to the public health and climate emergency of air and noise pollution in urban areas, Hype offers the only zero-emission taxi booking application for the full range of services (Standard, Van, PRM, Premium) at no extra cost compared with the other on-demand transport operators whose fleets are mostly made up of polluting vehicles (diesel, petrol or hybrids). To be able to provide a non-polluting, carbon-free solution tailored to each driver, Hype integrates all 100% electric technologies (hydrogen and battery). In particular, Hype has been operating the world's largest fleet of hydrogen taxis for the past 9 years, and is simultaneously developing a green hydrogen production and refueling network, open to all, which will also accelerate the transition of other professional mobility uses to zero-emission. As Official Taxi Supporter of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games and with the historic commitment of the Paris 2024 Organising Committee, Hype has launched #2024jeBASCULE, an operation designed to encourage on-demand transport customers (Taxis & PHVs), and in particular major public and private clients, to switch to zero-emission. Since its creation, Hype has been investing 100% of its capacity and resources to immediately tackle pollution and global warming.
