Trucking companies need to reduce emissions and their reliance on diesel while keeping freight moving efficiently. Hydrolux is developing Trans-Québec 1, a network of eight green hydrogen refuelling stations in Québec. Each station is designed to produce hydrogen where trucks refuel. Our focus is on fleets that cover long distances, operate across multiple shifts and need fast refuelling. We aim to help them plan their transition with greater predictability in their energy costs. The network is designed to enable carriers to serve an area encompassing nearly 97% of Québec’s population. Its development brings together three essential elements: refuelling infrastructure, vehicles and fleet requirements. For governments and economic development stakeholders, this transition is also an opportunity to reduce reliance on diesel and support regional economic activity with energy produced in Québec.
