Our mission is to improve smallholders’ livelihoods by transforming husk into biochar to regenerate soils, increase yields and capture carbon. Smallholders are the hardest hit by the vicious cycle of climate change, soil degradation and food security. We have proven an innovative circular economy model with partners in the rice industry in SE Asia and are now ready to scale. Our first installation in Cambodia produces biofertilizers and sequesters carbon with two continuous flow pyrolysis units in a rice mill. We transform an undervalued byproduct of the rice industry into effective and affordable agricultural inputs for smallholders. Over 250 farm trials using our products in the last 3 years shows an average of 30% yield increase. Our solution is climate positive, supporting farmers to adapt to climate change with more resilient soils, and reducing emissions from the rice industry, by fixing the carbon from rice husk into the soil, where it remains for hundreds of years. We are currently seeking partners to help us scale up our solution.
