Huntingdon Telemed, LLC is transporting telemedicine with the industry’s first fully integrated transportable telemedicine cart. Our patented telemedicine cart is lightweight and easily transported in a variety of clinical settings. Our cart gets doctors in front of patients, regardless of physical proximity and ensures the communication of information with little delay. Our fully integrated EHR telemedicine software package helps users experience virtual medical services with face-to-face communication via a secured interface. Our EHR software is Meaningful Use Stage 2 and HL7 certified, integrates with peripheral devices, and offers the function of clinical documentation, billing and scheduling. Huntingdon Telemed, LLC was founded in 2012 by Thomas E. Uttley, MD, a psychiatrist with more than 30 years of experience. In 2007 Thomas E. Uttley, MD began exploring telemedicine as a solution to address the logistical and time constraints of managing his large clinical practice. However, existing products could not meet his requirements of transportability and integration. In 2012 Thomas E. Uttley, MD partnered with Dr. Darrin Hanna and set out to develop a fully integrated telemedicine solution. By applying their knowledge of clinical medical practice and software, the Managing Partners of Huntingdon Telemed have developed a proprietary transportable telemedicine workstation and EHR software package that increases profitability and patient outcomes. The patent for this device was issued in 2016 (U.S Patent 9,463,819).
