Humble Abodes Information

Humble Abodes was founded in 1998 to manufacture high quality Eastern Pine beehives and frames. They became a well-respected supplier of woodenware to large beekeepers, hobbyists, and dealers across New England and the East Coast. Maine's vast supply of Eastern White Pine provided the wood needed to make easy to assemble, durable frames and high quality boxes. In the summer of 2015, the assets of Humble Abodes were purchased by the Downeast Center for Beekeeping, LLC. The new owners, who also own and operate Betterbee in Greenwich NY, are dedicated to continuing the tradition of quality that Humble is known for. The staff and location remain the same in Windsor, ME, and the company is doing business as Humble Abodes. After a short hiatus due to a damaged roof, the factory is now in full production. The staff is continuously improving equipment and working on ways to serve their customers. With the launch of this website, customers can easily place order via the web.
