We are Humathon.org. We are a global nonprofit organization focused on identifying, developing and promoting humanism in the digital age. To achieve this, we bring together thought leaders, politicians, philanthropists, educational- and business leaders in our privately hosted invitation-only Humathons (a hackathon for humans). We aim to create an ongoing discussion on what it means to be human in the digital age and make sure humanism becomes an integral part of technology development. We aim to create an ongoing discussion on what it means to be human in the digital age and make sure humanism becomes an integral part of technology development. Why we are After the great disruption of the industrial revolution, citizens, politicians and entrepreneurs humanized nineteenth-century capitalism. In the wake of the equally disruptive digital revolution, we now need to mirror these advances to humanize this contemporary upheaval. In an increasingly technocentric world, we believe focusing on human values will be similarly key to successful business and society. We believe that the thriving companies and societies of the 21st century will be those that (re)integrate humanism into their DNA. Humathons We have developed a tailored event format: the Humathon. A Humathon is essentially a hackathon for humans and is designed to utilize the collective brain power of the – invite only - participants. Humathons are sponsored events globally hosted by renowned author Andrew Keen (co-founder of Humathon.org). Humathons challenge ‘technology only’ driven thinking in areas such as government, education and business. They focus on applying a humanistic approach to how technology helps a better world and how to avoid the opposite.
