Wildlife Habitat Canada (WHC) is a national, not-for-profit organization that conserves wildlife habitat in Canada by making wise conservation investments through its grant programs. The grant programs that WHC administers support the conservation, restoration and enhancement of important wildlife habitat, the securement of ecologically sensitive lands, and the engagement of Canadians in stewardship activities. WHC’s objectives of leveraging funding available for Canadian wildlife habitat conservation; conserving, restoring and enhancing wildlife habitat; and fostering coordination and leadership in the conservation community across Canada, help to support a vision of abundant and diverse wildlife populations and habitats in Canada. WHC is actively involved in providing sound council and collaboration on a number of committees and national councils for the betterment of conservation policy in Canada and North America.
