I’m a practical, hands-on marketer with over 20 years experience helping brands and agencies make more money through applying proper commercially-focussed marketing. None of your fluffy nonsense, real hitting the bottom line marketing. As Fractional CMO I help funded start-ups go to market, and help scale-ups...well, up-scale. When brought in as Fractional Business Director (aka the CMO of agency land) I support independent agencies to grow at pace. I help develop a distinct market proposition and implement effective inbound and outbound sales strategies, processes and tactics. I've worked with small brands you never heard of all the way up to global brands such as Deutsche Bank, Manchester United, LEGO and LG. I've helped independent agencies such as ...Gasp! and The NDL Group to understand their position, identify new opportunities and hit their commercial goals. I've also co-founded, grown from the ground up, and successfully exited two agencies of my own. This in particular gives me unique insight into all angles and commercial realities of running a business. It's not something I fancy doing again, but I love helping other agencies be the best they can. I also offer training, coaching and mentoring. I'm an experienced public speaker, a former Non-Executive Director and taught Marketing and Digital Marketing at the National Film & Television School in the UK. I guest lectured at LSBU and mentored other creatives through The Alliance of Independent Agencies. I also have a hat.
