We have campuses in Helsinki Metropolitan area, Turku, Jyväskylä and Kuopio but we have project and development activities all over in Finland. We are the largest institution offering R&D services, training and education in our expertise areas which are NGO and Youth Work, Cultural Management and Sign Language Interpreting. Humak has 1550 students and around 130+ staff members. We offer our students practice oriented learning with real working life tasks and projects developed in cooperation with our working life partners. Our pedagogical model is based on training and most of the learning is performed with innovative mix of theoretical and practical approach. Humak University of Applied Sciences offers Bachelor of Applied Sciences and Master of Arts degrees currently only in Finnish. We offer a variety of Erasmus Programmes for our international partner institutes such as Cultural Manamegent, NGO and Youth Work and Sports Adventure Course. 25 percent of our students take part of their studies in an exchange programme. Humak takes actively part in to regional, national and international research, development and innovation programmes. Our areas of expertises are youth work, civic society and NGO’s, creative industries and cultural management and development of Finnish sign language.
