Over 20% of Australian adults experience a common mental illness each year - such as severe anxiety disorder, severe depressive disorder & substance use disorder - [from ABS 2009 - National Survey of Mental Health and Wellbeing]. Hence there is a significant probability that some Managers and team members are struggling in their work performance with undiagnosed or untreated mental health challenges or illness. This impacts the individual, their peers, and your customers. When a company has a focused Mental Health Safety Strategy in the Workplace, Managers, and Mental Health First Aid Officers are taught to notice the signs where a team member may be struggling and to engage in caring person-centred conversations to encourage the person to seek assistance. This helps Managers to be authentically caring and significantly contributes to creating a more engaged and committed culture, and improved business results. I work directly with Business Leaders, Owners and HR & Safety Specialists to build mental health safety and resilience skills for a healthy culture and enhanced business results in Finance & Insurance, Technical and Industrial Equipment & Products, Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail & Healthcare.

Little Achievers is a Paediatric Occupational Therapy practice with our clinic based in Hurstville and has now opened a branch in the West Yorkshire area of the UK. We are able to travel to home and school/ preschool if needed. Occupational Therapy can benefit children with learning and behavioral disorders, developmental delays, visual and hearing impairments, emotional disturbances or physical disabilities. The purpose of therapy is to help strengthen the coordination between brain and body to gain and/or enhance function in daily living. We are a recognised panel provider for FaHCSIA: Helping Children with Autism funding and Better Start for Children with a Disability initiative. Little Achievers Occupational Therapy are proud to announce the introduction of their SCHOOL READINESS PACKS. These packs are a 4- week program with exercises and activities provided on a daily basis with all resources included. The pack aims at targeting necessary skills for school such as bilateral hand use, fine motor skills, pencil grip, cutting and pre writing skills.
