The Queensland Academies are state schools for highly-capable students in Years 10 to 12. They are located across three campuses in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Australia. A bridge between high school and tertiary study, the Academies are designed to maximise the potential of bright students and prepare them for university.

St Peters Lutheran College, the largest independent school in Queensland, has a fine tradition of providing Christian co-education for Prep to Year 12 day students and Boarders from Years 6–12. As a co-educational College, our students learn and work together as they will do in their adult lives, and we welcome students of all Christian denominations and other religious or philosophical perspectives. We have two schools in Indooroopilly (Prep–Year 12 day and boarding) and Springfield (Kindergarten–Year 12 ), and a dedicated Outdoor Education Centre. Through our Sub Schools, St Peters is uniquely placed to meet the developmental needs of your child, whatever their age and abilities. At St Peters, our commitment to our students is three-fold: to provide opportunities for academic achievement, servant leadership and spiritual development. Through provision of innovative and enthusiastic teaching, St Peters offers a varied curriculum and multiple future pathways for Years 11 and 12 students in Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority subjects, International Baccalaureate Diploma and Vocational education. Our commitment to our students and parents goes beyond the classroom. We offer a comprehensive Cocurricular program including sporting, musical, arts, and community activities, and our Year 9 students engage in a five-week Outdoor Education experience at our iconic Ironbark property.

Today Brisbane Grammar School opens its doors to 2000 boys from Years 5 to 12, with 100 boarders calling the School home. Set on a heritage listed site, BGS was founded in 1868, making it one of the oldest schools in Australia. Underpinned by values of endeavour, learning, respect, leadership and community, the BGS purpose is to educate boys by nurturing their intellectual, physical, and emotional wellbeing to become thoughtful, confident men of character who contribute to their communities.
