"The large projects in particular have a vast information management requirement", he explained. "We find ourselves managing specification reviews, issue tracking, whilst the form side of it helps people to do inspections and surveys within the shipyard. Our product makes it easier for crew, shipyards and project managers to monitor these things and put them back into a central pool of information." The software is based on the MS SharePoint platform, which enhances scalability and development. And because of its ubiquity its reliability is already proven. Hub Ware usually consults with an in-house professional who will then become the primary user of the software. But the company is always on hand, he says, to offer after-sales support. Ian Hornsby was raising awareness of the reorganisation at the recent Monaco Yacht Show, which he branded a success for both the newly named company and the wider industry.
