Hardware/Software Design & Development is an experienced design engineering company. HSDD focuses on two primary areas of electronic product development; hardware design and firmware development. As an established engineering resource, we have been providing electronic product development services to a wide cross section of clients. We specialize in quick-turn embedded hardware designs & software development targeted for low cost consumer, retail and industrial products. We provide task specific analog and digital circuit design, embedded firmware and custom PC application software. Our areas of expertise include hardware and software development using Atmel, FreeScale, Intel, Microchip & Xilinix solutions. We have consulted on embedded Internet capable products using TCP/IP platforms by Lantronix. Embedded Internet capability is becoming a necessity as the need for anywhere communications, central site browser monitoring of remote devices becomes the norm. Another emerging technology embedded network connectivity, is the integration of products each using proprietary communications format and protocol via embedded web servers. Many of our clients find it difficult to define and analyze feature, function and cost tradeoffs particularly with an engineering staff overburdened with product service and manufacturing support.
