Started in 2008 by two engineers, the Pune based startup was nominated as one of the top 5 upcoming startups for it's contextual browsing product at Proto.in that led to a seed investment for it's publisher-driven intext content that delivered related content and articles for readers on a webpage. After it's pioneering steps in multi-lingual in-text and piloting with large portals Hover crossed its first million hovers in 6 months after launch in January 2009, and reaching a million hovers a month by January 2010. Meanwhile we were also invited to talk about our growth stories and experiences being a dominant user of the erlang language in india, speaking at conferences like Erlang Factory (London), ACM Commercial Users of Functional Programming conference ( Edinburgh ) and Foss.in ( Bengaluru ). By mid-2011 Hover was analyzing - over half a billion words a day - several thousands of dollars in sales a month - established a growing strength in distributing form-based banners, custom-shaped banners and CPM campaigns.
