Over the past two decades, British interior design studio House of Grey have crafted a signature aesthetic which gathered momentum across the global design community. As a design studio, our fundamental aim has become the need to leave a positive design legacy when renovating and restoring modern and historic spaces. Our purpose is to create interior landscapes that have inherent health benefits and minimal impact on the planet. We have developed a whole-person-whole-world approach to designing and building spaces for our clients which combines our signature aesthetic with Salutogenic Design principles and cradle-to-cradle materials. We call this: Circular Salutogenic Design. Each decision made in the design process is based on this symbiotic principle of using natural materials that benefit human health throughout their use and actively feed the earth upon disposal. We are no longer simply finding sustainable design solutions, our work is now focused on eliminating the problem altogether. House of Grey consistently demonstrates across our portfolio of work that ecological building and sustainable design doesn’t mean the owner or client needs to compromise on aesthetics. A building or a space can still be practical, durable, and ethical, as well as beautiful, comfortable and luxurious. As a pioneering Circular Salutogenic Design Studio, House of Grey is constantly evolving from within and looking to the future in all areas of our work: exploring new research, innovating products, developing partnerships, investing in our internal training, honing our design processes and applying our principles across everything we do.
