Hotes Foundation Information

The Hotes Foundation is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that does not accept donations. The Hotes Foundation is entirely funded from personal contributions by Richard Hotes, founder of the Hotes Foundation and CEO of Alaska Structures. Since 2001, the Hotes Foundation has conducted over 80 missions to more than 15 countries around the world, including: Nepal, Pakistan, Peru, Mexico, Bangladesh, Philippines, Taiwan, Haiti, Kenya, Somalia, and Ethiopia. The Hotes Foundation's focus is straightforward: end poverty by encouraging volunteers to stop donating to charities, thereby changing the mentality of “giving” to actually “going” so there are more people on the ground, helping the poorest of the poor. We feel this is the only way poverty will end. Unless YOU personally go and deliver directly to the poorest of the poor, poverty will remain.
