Hostelling International (HI) is a non-governmental, not-for profit UK charity, representing 57 member associations from all over the world. It is the world’s largest youth membership organisation, and an Affiliate Member of the UNWTO. HI is the only global network of Youth Hostel Associations. Its 2.6 million members are offered a choice of more than 2,100 hostels, all meeting internationally agreed standards in order to guarantee the guests a great experience at all hostels. Hostelling International is a membership organisation, and HI membership gives you much more than a comfy bed! It puts you at the heart of a global community of travellers, where you share experiences, culture and friendship with people of all nations.
