Hosmed Medical Scheme Information

Hosmed Medical Scheme is a non-profit, open medical Scheme registered in terms of the Medical Schemes Act No. 131 of 1998 (the Act). The registration number is 1537. The Scheme provides health care services to 22 221 principal members. In 2018, we achieved an A-Global Credit Rating, which indicates a strong and stable financial position. Our main aim is to provide the most comprehensive cover to our members at affordable rates. Hosmed currently has head offices located in Pretoria. Hosmed is one of five medical Schemes that participate in the South African Local Government (SALGA) environment.
