Hortis Information

At Hortis, we’re reimagining plant records with user-centred design and technology. Drawing on nearly 20 years of experience supporting botanic gardens, we deliver an intuitive platform that helps collections of all sizes unlock the power of their data. Launched in 2021 by Botanical Software, Hortis goes beyond traditional record systems—making it easier for botanical teams to achieve their goals and contribute to global biodiversity conservation. Today, we continue to innovate for gardens worldwide, collaborating with partners like Species360 to connect plant and animal data for the benefit of people and the planet. Our vision: empower gardens with tools to manage collections confidently and support species conservation globally.
