At Costa Farms, it’s in our DNA to grow, and we’re passionate about plants! So much so that we grow more than 1,500 varieties on 5,200 acres. A 60-year-old family-run company, we started on just 30 acres when our founder, Jose Costa Sr., grew tomatoes and calamondin citrus. We started innovating and got into tropicals and houseplants. It didn’t take long before we were introducing rare varieties. We’re still at it today: Our Plant Hunter travels the world to find beautiful, easy-care plants for in and around your home. Today, Costa Farms is one of the largest horticultural growers in the world. Our passion extends to outdoor garden plants, as well. We’re excited to grow a variety of gorgeous flowering plants for tropical landscapes — or for container gardens on decks and patios in areas outside of Florida. We’ve been growing annual flowers for more than 20 years in Miami and North Carolina. In 2012 an expansion into South Carolina allowed us to begin offering perennial flowers to retailers in the Southeast.

From our beginnings as a wholesale cut flower operation started by George J. Ball in 1905, Ball Horticultural Company has grown into a leader in all facets of horticulture, supplying inputs to horticultural producers around the world. Our global family of breeders, research and development teams, seed and vegetative producers, and distribution companies has a strong presence on six continents in 17 countries. We’re proud that thousands of our varieties are making history in the world of gardening. Among these are Wave® spreading petunias, Cool Wave® spreading pansies, Sombrero and ‘Cheyenne Spirit’ Echinacea, Flutterby Buddleia, BOOST high-nutrition vegetables, Black Velvet petunias, Fiesta double impatiens, and Divine New Guinea impatiens. In addition, Ball also contributes notable varieties to the cut flower, potted flowering plant, and foliage plant segments of the horticulture industry.

Johnny’s Selected Seeds is a privately held, employee-owned seed producer and merchant headquartered in Winslow, Maine, USA. The company was established in 1973 by Rob Johnston, Jr. Johnny’s mission is helping families, friends, and communities to feed one another by providing superior seeds, tools, information and service. Since our founding in 1973 we have grown into an international, employee-owned multichannel breeder and purveyor of seeds, plants, tools, and supplies, all predicated on best-in-class customer support and backed by research, trialing, and information.
