Starlight Academy is a dance and performance school based at The Dance Mill, a purpose built dance and fitness centre in Guiseley, Leeds. We offer a full range of classes, helping to build confidence, strong dance technique and training for the stage, we have classes suitable for all age groups, from pre school to adult. Exams can be taken in tap, modern and classical ballet through the ISTD syllabus. We are an accredited Acrobatic arts school, offering acro classes from age 5. Other classes include cheer, street, musical theatre, contemporary, jazz, commercial, showstars, festival, drama and our newly launched casting agency. Starlight Academy has 3 fully equipped studios, reception with coffee lounge, 2 changing rooms, large car park, a lovely friendly atmosphere and professional enthusiastic staff. Adult classes include Tap, Body Blitz, Pole Fit, Belly Dance and Kung Fu, we are proud to be the home of HotYoga Leeds.

Hillside School is an independent residential school for boys aged10-18, with additional support needs ranging from issues such as childhood trauma, gaps in school attendance, ADHD, ASD, learning difficulties; and social, emotional, and mental health needs. Young people may reside at Hillside until age 18 to, for example, attend college. We accept placement referrals from Local Authorities in Scotland and across the UK. Following an initial assessment, Care and Education plans are set by a young person's Key Team. Young people are regularly involved in reviewing these plans to ensure positive outcomes. Further support is available from our Counselling Psychologist and Individual Work Co-ordinator. The school and residential houses are situated in in a large private rural estate in the beautiful village of Aberdour in Fife, on the east coast of Scotland. It is well situated for road and rail links, and is twenty minutes from Edinburgh International airport and thirty minutes from Edinburgh Waverly train station. The school provides well-appointed single bedrooms in houses of 5-7 young people. Classrooms are well resourced and equipped. There are excellent facilities for sport, music, drama and a range of outdoor learning activities. Our young people are engaged in warm, compassionate, trauma-informed and consistent relationships with all the adults in the school, which creates a supportive atmosphere in which they can focus on their learning and other plans. High expectations for our young people's educational attainment and personal development results in all of us working effectively to improve educational outcomes and ensure positive post-school destinations.
