Hope-Ality’s mission is to improve the policing practices which lead to the disproportionality of arrests and excessive use of force on the African American, Latinos, and other minority groups. It aims to do so by offering a Civilian Response Model which provides social workers to those 911 calls, such as mental health, homelessness, and other public welfare incidences, which do not require a police response.
