Hope 4 Girls Africa Information

Hope4Girls (H4G) Africa is a USA-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the increased participation and empowerment of disadvantaged young African women in sports and education. H4G Africa will serve primarily as a grant-making organization that will provide funding and equipment to NGOs that will operate in accordance to the mission, objectives and values of H4G Africa. Our target group is young African women between the ages of 12 to 18 years. We aim to provide opportunities for these young women to display and develop character, intellect, and athletic ability through H4G sports camps, learning workshops, and other empowerment programs. Our goal, through sports, is to foster a commitment to our target group that will promote pro-social friendships, strong interpersonal skills, and reassert a sense of hope in the future. We believe that this can be accomplished through programs that aim to: • Increase the high school and University graduation rates of young African women • Boost the participation level and visibility of young African women in sports through camps and clinics • Use sports as the major medium to teach personal development, tolerance, and teamwork • Address social issues affecting young African women today • Provide opportunities for them to further their education in the USA
