In 1993, Hooptown International Youth Basketball was officially established to provide an additional opportunity to further develop the growing basketball talent within the FIl-Am Youth League. Hooptown's mission was to compete against the best players and competition throughout southern California as well as the United States. In addition, Hooptown aimed to prepare players for the high school level by focusing on academic achievement and teach proper basketball fundamentals.
