Honula started from the passion of 6 surfers who had a vision: create a brand around the adventure travel tourism. As surfers, we identify a need: to organize a surf trip in an easy way. But we realized that this was just a small part of the big picture. And the big picture is that a market like the adventure travel tourism, that is going to generate 315.6 billions of dollars of revenues by 2021, is divided in a chaotic and disorganized way. Considering that, we see surf as the first and central step to get into adventure travel businesses. For us surf is an emotional sport that can drive our brand and image faster and can help us to penetrate into a lot of markets easier. We realized that our target market is fragmented in small to medium businesses not fully linked together, and they need to manage and create their own websites, booking systems, marketing strategies and more technology related topics. As a consequence, travellers need to spend a lot of time organizing their experiences. What we envision is a way to link all the dots and finally connect completely adventure travel businesses, adventure media (magazines, travel blogs), adventure brands, athletes and most importantly our customers - the adventurers. We want to create an unique brand for the adventure travel tourism and to give all the adventure travel businesses the tools to allow them to focus on what they do best: provide their customers the best travel experiences in the world! An important goal that we want to make is to connect all the adventure travel businesses with local economies and with environment preservation.
