Holy Nativity Convent Information

Holy Nativity Convent was founded in 1968 as a small community of nuns, following the traditional Orthodox monastic life of prayer and labor. We began supporting ourselves by dipping pure beeswax candles, and sewing vestments, cassocks and other church articles. In time, as our community has grown, we added icon pins and a variety of other small icons , as well as decorated candles to our handicrafts. We now offer laser-engraved icons and plaques, as well as a variety of greeting cards. We also offer a selection of items imported from the Holy Land: mother-of-pearl and olive wood crosses, brooches, boxes and other carved articles. Since our community is supported by the work of our hands and not by the solicitation of funds, those who wish to contribute to our labors can best assist us by purchasing our handicrafts. In doing so, they help the convent to continue its work while at the same time bringing beautiful items of our rich Orthodox tradition into their own lives.
