We are a congregation of approximately 2,500 members and 1,100 households. Our congregation began in October, 1951, with 50 people meeting in an American Legion Hall and organizing as Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church on Palm Sunday, 1952, with 179 baptized and 109 confirmed members. Since 1952 we have grown and remodeled several times. Now in 2003 we have just completed another addition and remodeling phrase to better serve our community and congregation. We have over 350 children in our Faith Development Program, many members in our 9 different music programs; and, congregation members are active in many other fellowship groups including the Seasoned Christians (senior citizens), Empty Nesters, Quilters, Book Club, Bible studies, Holy Cross Preschool, etc.
