Holmes Seafood is a family business whose connections with the seafood industry span over 70 years. Founded by Charles Thomas Holmes, the company traded as C.T.Holmes & Co Ltd and operated from three retail shops in South London. The business grew and 1951 saw the opening of the original wholesale business in the Old Billingsgate Market in London's Lower Thames Street. The company relocated to the New Billingsgate Market in 1981 where to this day the family name remains above the current shop. In the 1980's and early 1990's the company became synonymous for selling top quality scampi products processed by its sister companies, Homac Seafoods and Border Laird. Over the past 20 years Holmes Seafood has evolved and diversified, becoming one of the UK's leading importers and distributors of frozen seafood. Today we offer you over three generations of frozen seafood knowledge, experience and expertise.
