hobbyDB™ is a whole new kind of marketplace for the $200bn hobby & collectibles market. We're building a giant database of every collectible ever made; from diecast cars to electric guitars and Eames Chairs to teddy bears. All of which are interrelated in every possible way so you can easily find everything made by a manufacturer like Marx or Matchbox, every model of a certain type or anything with a particular branding or theme. More than just a great place to research and reminisce, it's a whole collectible ecosystem. The catalog also powers a collection management system where users can upload images and data about their own collectibles and put them on sale Amazon-style with just one click - as well as building wish lists and receiving alerts when stuff they want goes up for sale. Our first verticals are Automobilia, model cars and diecast model aircraft. We will soon be adding vinyl art toys, slot cars, model trains, and action figures.
