HKU Blockchain Club Information

The Blockchain & Cryptocurrency Club's mission is to promote cryptocurrencies and other applications of blockchain at HKU by facilitating education; encouraging collaboration and innovation within HKU and with stakeholders in the wider space; and exploring new applications of blockchain across industries. Blockchain is considered to be the best technological innovation since the Internet. We believe blockchain technology has the potential to bring radical changes in how the industries operate. It lies at the intersection of several important academic research areas, including cryptography, distributed computing, graph theory, finance, and economics. The HKU Blockchain & Crypto Club seeks to provide forums where blockchain-related ideas, projects, programs, events, and businesses can be studied, discussed, and developed. Through club activities, we seek to increase awareness and use of blockchain within and beyond the HKU community. Goals: a. Advocacy: Promote cryptocurrencies and other applications of blockchain at HKU b.
