Since 1984, HK-ENGINEERING has been the only company in the world to restore exclusively the iconic Mercedes-Benz 300 SL. HK-ENGINEERING was founded by the entrepreneur and world-renowned expert in the automotive icon with the trademark star Hans Kleissl. Hardly anyone else has such a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion. Being a classic car enthusiast and collector himself led to his founding of HK-ENGINEERING. Today, we are set in a lovingly restored monastery in the Bavarian village of Polling. We offer our clients restoration of nearly all original parts: from refurbishing old leathers to matching original body paint. Of course, we are also able to restore classic Mercedes-Benz cars from the ground-up. Our main ambition is to turn every 300SL that enters our shop, into a reliable, fault free vehicle, rewarding it´s owner with the purest pleasure of driving possible. To ensure and maintain the high quality standard of our restorations, HK-ENGINEERING can rely on its in-house departments ranging from a body shop, engine department, its own injection pump department and saddlery. Each assembly step is carried out according to guidelines we have developed over the years. Every mechanic is a specialist in his field. An intricate system of quality control ensures perfect execution of all jobs, resulting in the desired fault free completion of each restoration. Since 1995, we are operating our own racing team and can be found on all major raceways around the world including Daytona, Nürnburgring, Laguna Sec and Goodwood's Motor Circuit. Besides races and restorations we are selling both classic Mercedes-Benz cars as well as other historic premium vehicles. Located in the industrial buildings of our idyllic Old Brickyard, our HK-World displays the most iconic premium cars which are not only attracting enthusiasts of classic cars but fans from all over the world.
