Every week, more than 2 million passengers use the Copenhagen Metro, and the number is increasing day by day. Copenhagen currently has four metro lines. An extension of the M4 line northbound is under way, and we are planning a possible new fifth metro line to open in 2035. In addition, we are well underway with the construction of the capital's new light rail between Lyngby and Ishøj. Den Gamle By er grundlagt i 1909 som verdens første frilandsmuseum for byernes kulturhistorie. Huse og interiører stammer fra hele Danmark, og tilsammen fremstår de som en gendigtning af en typisk dansk by. Den Gamle By består af tre bykvarterer som viser livet fra før år 1900, i 1927 og i 1974. Derudover rummer Den Gamle By en række klassiske museumssamlinger af national betydning. Der er undersøgelser og forskning bag alt, hvad vi gør. Mureren læsker selv sin kalk, maleren blander sin maling. Og de historiske dragter, som personalet bærer i Levende Museum, er tro kopier. Den verdensberømte Guide Michelin giver Den Gamle By de maksimale tre stjerner, og museet er på listen over verdens 1000 største seværdigheder. Omkring 500.000 gæster besøger årligt Den Gamle By.

ARKEN lies like a stranded ship a stone's throw from Køge Bay and is beautifully placed in the surrounding beach park. The building, which is one of the most distinctive edifices of the 1990s, definitely merits a visit in itself. Inside visitors can enjoy internationally rated art exhibitions and a permanent exhibition, which contains Danish, Northern and international art from 1990 onwards, including works by the controversial British artist Damien Hirst and the German rising star Anselm Reyle. ARKEN also has a wonderful museum shop packed with interesting design articles and a café, where visitors can enjoy the chef’s delicious food.
